HR Highpoint’s Big Country JH (Toby)

Toby Places 1st in the 2010 South Dakota State Pheasant Championship!!  Toby found his four birds in 2:52 to win the Amatuer Doubles Division!

Toby is a fourth generation pointing lab, and is yellow factored.  He is a tall, well-muscled 70-75 lb. dog with a good looking head. He is an outstanding upland dog and a superior waterfowl dog.

In the summer of 2009 Toby stepped it up a notch and passed his first Finished test in the HRC.  In 2008, Toby earned his UKC Hunting Retriever title, going 4 for 4 in Seasoned Tests of the UKC Hunting Retriever Club!  In March of 2008 Toby earned 3rd Place in the South Dakota State Pheasant Championships. This to go along with the AKC Junior Hunter title he earned in the summer of 2007.

Toby is the complete package, he did a nice job on ducks this season and is big enough to handle the Giant Canadas we shoot in West Central Minnesota.  Toby is one big lab who can hunt all day in the pheasant field, even when it’s hot, which is why he is my main dog when I am guiding.  He not only points, but he has thrown point in every litter he has sired.  The Toby pups that I’ve trained have been very intelligent and highly trainable, with good drive and a nice disposition.
